Whistleblowing channel and incident reporting

ECOM promotes a culture based on honesty, transparency, and respect. In line with our Code of Ethics, we provide a confidential and, if desired, anonymous channel to report any conduct that may constitute a breach of our internal rules or applicable law.

What situations can be reported?

The Whistleblowing Line is intended to receive reports related to:

  • Harassment or violence in the workplace.
  • Discrimination.
  • Actual or potential conflicts of interest.
  • Bribery and corruption.
  • Fraud, theft, or other financial irregularities.
  • Breaches of internal policies or procedures.
  • Misuse of assets or confidential information.
  • Breaches of anti–money laundering and counter–terrorist financing regulations.
  • Non-compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Misconduct in dealings with suppliers, customers, or public officials.
  • Any other serious violation of the Code of Ethics or applicable regulations.

Reports related to potential risks or violations of human rights, environmental non-compliance, as well as possible breaches of legal obligations on anti–money laundering and counter–terrorist financing, under Law No. 19.574 and related regulations in the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, may also be submitted through this channel.

This channel is an internal reporting mechanism and does not replace or restrict the legal or administrative avenues provided by Uruguayan law (such as reporting to the General Labour and Social Security Inspectorate, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the Office of the Attorney General, or other competent authorities), nor does it limit the right of individuals to contact such authorities directly.

If you have any further questions about this service and how it operates, please email reportar.problema@ecom.uy.
